In 1987, Leo van der Harg took over his father's cut roses nursery at the age of 21. After 5 years Leo van der Harg B.V. made the transition to pot plants and moved to Vierpolders, where Leo began the cultivation of Saint Paulia's. In 1997 Leo van der Harg decided to start the cultivation of Kordana potroses in a part of his greenhouse. Within a year the cultivation of the Kordana potroses went very well, therefore they decided to focus fully on the cultivation of potroses and to stop the cultivation of Saint Paulia's.
In 2002, Leo van der Harg B.V. started a new company - fully equipped for the cultivation of Kordana® potroses. The area of the company now covers 3.5 hectares in which they produce yearly 5 million potroses. The assortment exists of various varieties of Rosa Kordana and Rosa Kordana Grande, all grown in a 10,5 cm pot.
Leo van der Harg B.V. focuses on cultivating outstanding quality potroses for a regular group of year round buyers. The aim is not to be the biggest but the best.
